We want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving holiday. While much of the rest of the USA is experiencing the onset of winter, we are still in the autumn season here in Texas. Thus, I wanted to share some photos I took of one of our crape myrtles that is really showing wonderful color this year. Many of the townies are saying that this has been one of the best years here for fall color.
Also, Moses wanted to let everyone know how much he likes cranberry and also pumpkin pie. This past week, he had to take some antibiotic pills because of some mouth sores, but he was very willing to take the pills if they were stuffed in a little pumpkin pie.

For those of you who saw our backyard before the work started, you'll be happy to know that phase 1 of the overhaul is complete. We are so pleased with the outcome. The grass is taking root and the boys love it! There is plenty of room to get a good game of fetch in! Moses likes laying and just hanging out in the sun.
Unfortunately, Moses got hurt the other day when he leaped over a stump and landed on a dead juniper branch. He is all scraped up and is wearing this sweatshirt so that he doesn't bother his healing wounds. He seems okay with it!

So, we went to the King Ranch to pick up our grass last Friday. We had the same nice man, Doc, help us. He is so careful to tell us everything we need to know about getting the grass started. He also loves seeing Lazarus and Moses, and they LOVE romping around the sod ranch. It is like heaven for them.
