The treats arrived!

Gotta love those Waggy Tail Treats! They even come with my name on them! I especially like the peanut butter schnauzers. I was so happy that I had to give Dad a big hug.

Getting our baseball fix

The boys and I have been enjoying watching the Orioles play against the Texas Rangers on television this week. The series ends tonight. The first two games have been very exciting with the Rangers winning the first, and the Orioles winning the second in extra innings. This photo is from Thursday evening after we all had been tubing on the Comal River. Lazie even went through one of the tube chutes! It has cooled off a bit and we actually got some rain last night.

We had a busy day yesterday. Mom and Dad went to San Antonio for the day, and Laz and I spent the day at Lucy's Doggie daycare. I ran around trying to get anyone to play with me that I could. I am so fast now that I can almost get away from Laz.

We were very tired though after a good day of play. As soon as we got home, I plopped into the bed and sprawled out so much I nearly took up the whole thing. Lazie was tired too, and Mom was fatigued after a lot of walking in San Antonio. Here are two pictures from last night.

Mom and Dad changed the settings so now anyone can add a comment to the blog. I prefer comments about how handsome I look and how slick my nub is.

Today was my first day of school. My first class went well, and I have another one this evening. Julie drove up to San Marcos and we had lunch together. It is still very hot as it hit 100 degrees again today. Julie was planning to take the boys to the River this afternoon to cool off. The Boys wanted to wish me well this morning.

On Sunday evening, we went swimming in the Guadalupe River. I, of course, was the first one in as I ran as fast as I could from the car to the River. Mom and Dad threw me the ball a lot, and I swam fast to retrieve it. Moses was in my way a lot. When we got home, I got to share in Mom's new Strawberry ice cream and I finished off Dad's Mint Chip cone. I love swimming and ice cream. I've heard rumors that some Waggy Tail Treats are coming in the mail-- so I better keep looking for the mail truck!

I went with Mom to get her makeover at the Chanel counter at a place called Saks 5th Avenue in San Antonio. It smelled kind of weird, but Mom had a really good time. Laz and Dad were there too, but they did not like it as much as Mom and I. Laz even got a bit of eye cream rubbed on him!

HOUSTON!

The pack recently went to Houston and Galveston for fun. We stopped first in Houston, where Lazarus and Moses went to Doggie Day Camp. They were VERY excited to be there. At the end of the day, they got a "paw"gress report saying that they were the type of dogs for whom Doggie Daycamp was invented. :)

Kevin and Julie then went to the Astro vs Padre game at Minute Maid Park. These are pictures from the stadium.

GALVESTON!!

While on our trip to Houston, we travelled to Galveston, TX. We stopped at the beach, of course, and Lazarus and Moses couldn't have been happier. They knew just how to swim in the water, and since they had never seen waves before, we were really impressed. Laz went swimming quite far out. Moses stayed a little closer, but still did a great job! They were extremely exhausted afterward.

We will be going to Houston this weekend, but we will share some photos when we return. I finished my technology training session and made a movie I should have called "2 1/2 Minutes of Your Life You Ain't Getting Back" but I received a prestigious Miltie Award. Next, I will shoot for a Relly. We'll try to get Moses to post something one of these days, but he is too busy to worry about a dumb blog when there are deer to chase and toys to chew. He is a good writer and a much better speller than Mom.

My Birthday Party!!

Mom and Dad organized a party for my 2nd birthday. It was fun. There were 15 people and 9 other dogs including Whoppie, Chili, Diva, Jack, Arwyn, Fox, Katy, Chloe, and Moses. We had a special cake, just for us, made with peanut butter and yogurt frosting. Everyone loved it and I got the biggest peice. Now I know more dogs around the neighborhood.

Lazarus

These are some pictures of us moving in. It was hot and we are glad we are pretty much settled now.

Love,
Julie

Lazarus LOVES to play frisbee golf. Moses is a snuggler. Aren't they cute.

This is Lazarus and Moses playing with a football. They are wearing their Redskins collars.
We are the Romig pack and we live in Comal County Texas. We will be adding pictures and comments over the next few days to keep family and friends updated on our recent activities. Kevin and Julie have been married for 5 years after meeting as graduate students at the University of Southern California. Lazarus is a 2 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever who recently had a birthday party at our house. He was named Lazarus because we picked him up on a Sunday afternoon after we heard a sermon on the friendship between Jesus and Lazarus. Moses is a 6 month old German Shorthair Pointer who was named because we picked him up in Thief River Falls, MN during major flooding on the Red River of the North. The River was about 1 mile wider than usual so we "parted the Red" to pick him up!
